Football fans will get to catch a glimpse of this year's Iowa Hawkeye football team on Saturday as the annual spring practice will be held at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. Here is what you need to know about Saturday's event.

Iowa Spring Practice FREE for Fans

Hawkeye Sports reports that the Iowa football spring practice on Saturday, April 25th, will be free and open to the public. The event will conclude Iowa's spring football drills. Gates to Kinnick Stadium will open at 9:45 a.m. with practice beginning at 10:45 a.m. Fans will be able to enter Kinnick at gates A, B, and H. Regular season game-day search procedures will still be in place.

According to Hawkeye Sports, parking will be free on all hard surface lots, with parking ramps charging normal rates. Limited concessions will also be available on the concourse.

Who to Watch For During Iowa's Spring Practice

Iowa's offense will be full of plenty of new faces during the upcoming season. Hawk Fanatic reports that fans will get to see both quarterbacks on Saturday, vying to be the Iowa starter this season. Junior Hank Brown and redshirt sophomore Jeremy Hecklinkski are competing for the job, and reports are that the battle this spring is close. A good practice in front of fans Saturday could go a long way to getting a leg up in the competition.

Another position to watch for Saturday is wide receiver. Hawkeye fans have heard that before. Hawk Fanatic reports that transfer wideout Tony Diaz has drawn rave reviews during spring practice. Evan Jones, another wide receiver from the transfer portal, will also get some looks on Saturday. Both add serious speed to the Iowa offense.

A New Look Iowa Defense

Saturday will also give fans the first look at a new Iowa defense, especially up front. Hawk Fanatic reports that Iowa will have nine new starters on defense, including all four starters on the defensive line. Somehow, I think defensive guru Phil Parker will find a way to mold them into form.
