A Downtown CR Restaurant is Closing Its Doors
Say goodbye to Dublin City Pub! According to the official Facebook page, the restaurant is closing its doors for good.
The post reads:
"Dublin City Pub wants to thank all of our customers for their support over the years!!
It’s beyond devastating to announce we will be closing the door on St. Patrick’s Day 3/17/2019. Please come partake in one last hoorah. Let’s make this day full of Shenanigans that will last a lifetime!!!"
Dublin City Pub was originally located on 2nd Avenue in Downtown Cedar Rapids, opening up its doors in 2004. Unfortunately, the Flood of 2008 destroyed the business, but they were able to start over at a new location just 13 months later. They reopened at 415 1st St SE in 2009, which is where they are today. Almost 10 years later, the business is saying its final goodbye. No specific reason was given for the closing.
If you'd like to visit the restaurant one last time, it's open today through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., and it will be open on Sunday for St. Patrick's Day. Don't forget to stop in for one last drink before it's too late!
