98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Salutes Nicole Vanous

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Nicole Vanous, who was nominated by Marta Peyton! The entry reads:

"I have known Nicole for many years. She is a wonderful friend, a mother of two, and a wife to a great husband. She works many hours with the Quasqueton Fire Department as our head EMS chief. She has trained many personnel with the utmost respect. She is calm and gets to the point! I love being on her team!"
