98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Ashley Link

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Ashley Link, who was nominated by Dillon Langel! The entry reads:

"Ashley's full time job is working at a local hospital as a physical therapy assistant, along with filling in in the ER. Outside of work, she is a volunteer on the Holy Cross Fire Department. She started out as an EMT, then became a CPR Instructor, before finally becoming an Advanced EMT. Ashley is a spitting image of what it takes to be a volunteer in these small town communities."
