Thank You For Another Amazing Total For Kids at 25th K-Hawk Radiothon [PHOTOS]
You did it again. For 25 years we've asked you to open your hearts and donate to children. You come through. Every. Single. Year.
Brain and Courtlin broadcast live from the Levitt Center in Iowa City Thursday and again today from 6 am to 10 am and from 2 pm to 6 pm, sponsored by U.S. Cellular. They interviewed families and children who've been treated at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital and discussed just how much the hospital has done for them. *You can see photos from Brain and Courtlin and the kids below.
The KHAK Radiothon began back in 1997 over the last two days, you donated a total of $136,270. $136,270! Over the 25 years of this event, eastern Iowans like you have given an astounding total to those kids and their families... now just shy of $3.4 million.
Our television partner, KCRG TV-9, joined us at the Radiothon both days. We appreciate them providing additional exposure for this event we're all so passionate about and for allowing us to announced this year's total live on 98.1 KHAK and the KCRG TV-9 News at 6 at the same time.
*If you feel like you missed out on your opportunity to donate, you didn't! Though the phone number below is no longer connected, you can still donate online and via text:
