Most of the Midwest has seen three major cold streaks interrupt our spring this season. Does that mean this summer will be cooler than normal?

According to AccuWeather.com, we'll see warmer temperatures and perhaps a drought this summer. That's according to AccuWeather expert long-range forecaster Paul Pastelok who says, "Actually we are seeing evidence of this in parts of the region already. If the rest of the spring works out as planned, then these areas may fall into a drought with frequent heat waves during the summer."

The extreme cold spells that we had in April, and last weekend, should be coming to an end. Warmer weather should start to develop late spring and continue into early summer. Rest assured, you won't be wearing your heavy winter jackets this summer. You just might not want to put 'em away yet.
