You know how people always say, "don't sweat the small stuff?" Well, we're doing the exact opposite of that!

I think we can all admit that sometimes the tiniest annoyance can end up driving you absolutely insane. There are a lot of little things that get under my skin, but the worst has to be simple grammatical errors. When people mix up "your" and "you're," it takes every ounce of strength I have to not correct them (I don't want to be that guy). And, don't even get me started on the mixing up of "too" and "to" or "their," "there," and "they're." These small mistakes irritate me WAY more than they should, especially when I catch myself making them!

We took to Facebook this week to give you a chance to vent! What's something small that drives you totally nuts? Here are some of the comments we received:

  • Nancy Funk - "When people call others hun, honey, sweetheart, sugar, darlin, or ya"ll."
  • Kim Arnold Knapp - "The sound of the nail clippers. My husband has to clip in the bathroom with the door shut or outside. It makes me want to vomit."
  • Stephanie Forbes Collingwood - "The noise that flip flops make."
  • Shawna Hoffman - "People putting condiments on the fridge shelf and not in the door."
  • Jennifer Culbertson-Schulte - "Not folding the towels the way I do."
  • Shanda Heath - "The sound of anything rubbing on carpet. Makes me crazy!"
  • Ashley Funk - "Leaving the cupboard doors open or not replacing the trash bag in the can after pulling out the garbage."
  • Carrie Behan Lehs - "The crinkle of plastic water bottles."
  • Jaime Zaruba - "When people walk down the middle of the aisle going out to their car when I'm driving to find a place to park. Drives my kids nuts that it makes me so mad."
  • Michelle Durey - "People standing too close to me in the checkout line (pre-COVID even)."
  • Kathy Mackey - "When someone rips open a package of buns or a loaf of bread instead of untieing the twist tie."
  • Abbi Perkins - "When the time on the microwave doesn't get cleared. I actually use that as a clock."
  • Joyce GIllaspie Thompson - "Blinds should be turned down and I hate when my husband turns them up."
  • Alyson Freeman - "When people whistle. I don’t mind a quick whistle but when they start whistling whole songs, it’s over for me."
  • Jodi McDonald Beck - "Chewing ice."
