Two people have been found dead in the Linn County town of Springville.

KCRG reports that at around 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon, Linn County Deputies along with Linn County Rescue 57, the Iowa State Patrol, Springville Fire Department, and the Anamosa Ambulance service responded to a call of two people found dead at 718 Wild Pine Ct. in Springville.

Upon arrival, first responders found two individuals with what appeared to be gunshot wounds according to KCRG. The victims were transported to the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny for further examination. The names of the victims are not be released at this time.

The incident is still under investigation by the Linn County Sheriff's Office, but KCRG reports that the Sheriff's Office did state that they do not believe there is any threat to the public.
