The elections are over, but some citizens are still speaking out about the results. Protesters that are angry with the election results took to the streets Friday evening.

KCRG reports that earlier in the day during class time on Friday, students from Iowa City West and City High Schools walked out of class and began rallying downtown. Soon many more came out to join the, thus flooding Interstate 80 East and bringing rush hour traffic to a complete stop.

It has been reported that several students streamed the protests on Facebook live and shared pictures until officers arrived to break it up.
