The Weird Things We Remember from Childhood Gym Class

Have you ever heard of The Popcorn Dance? If the answer is no, get ready to learn!

Yesterday Brain and I got on the topic of popcorn, and he revealed to me that he knows something called The Popcorn Dance. Where did he learn this dance? In elementary school PE class! Here's a little preview for you:

I don't know about you, but to me, it's very unusual that he is 45-years-old and still remembers this dance from his childhood so vividly. This sparked a conversation about some of the other strange things we remember from elementary school gym class.

For some reason, my gym teacher (Mr. Shaw) had us do dances involving these tiny wooden sticks. The song we did the routine to was "Big Bad Leroy Brown." I'll never forget it. We also learned the Mexican Hat Dance for some reason...
