[UPDATE 2/12, 4:50 p.m.]: CBS2 has additional information on school make-up days in the area.

[ORIGINAL STORY]: Eastern Iowa school snow day make-up plans are being announced and it's not as bad as it seems.

Cedar Rapids Community School District will have a board meeting Thursday night to discuss plans to make up missed days to weather so far this year, but other districts in the area are already making those plans.

Linn-Mar has announced that March 25 and May 13, which were scheduled as teacher inservice days, will now be days that students attend classes. The end of the school year will also be extended by three days. Their school year will now end June 5th. Not too bad, but that doesn't account for any further cancellations this winter.

Mt. Vernon is looking at turning two scheduled half-days into full days, and Iowa City will add 10 minutes to school days until they've made up for the lost hours.

We will continue to make updates as more information becomes available.
