Our ‘Teacher of the Week’ Winner Hails From Kalona

It's Friday, which means it's time for us to honor another amazing area educator! This week's winner of our 'Teacher of the Week' contest is Shaina Gearhart, a kindergarten teacher from Mid-Prairie East Elementary in Kalona. Shaina was nominated by Avery Slay and this is her entry:

"Shaina is an awesome kindergarten teacher. My daughter loves coming to school because she has a fun, loving teacher. One thing that meant a lot to me was the morning of my daughter's surgery. She emailed me wishing for everything to go well and sent prayers our way. She's a huge asset to the Mid-Prairie School District. Thank you, Mrs. Gearhart."

For being such an amazing teacher, Shaina will be getting some great prizes! Those prizes include a free massage or facial from Massage Heights and gift cards to Wild Hogs, Kathy's Pies, and Half Price Books.
