Live News Report Interrupted By Police Shootout Across The Street
I have very high respect for news anchors who can go out in public to report live while people scream hello to their moms, as well as other distracting things, like a police shootout across the street from them.
Fox 5 in San Diego's Jeff McAdam was reporting live outside of a convention center to talk about Comic-Con remaining virtual this year, but he was distracted mid-sentence when police began exchanging fire with a suspect across the street.
Following the shots, the camera pans to show what appears to be the suspect clearing a jam in his gun. McAdam can be heard answering his co-host or producer as he was asked if he was safe where he was standing.

Harbor Police said they stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver seemed to be impaired, so the officer asked the man to step out of the vehicle. As the driver got out of the car, he began firing at the officer.
Neither the suspect nor the officer was injured. A man nearby was struck by a stray bullet, but an object in his pocket stopped the bullet from breaking the skin. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation but was later released.
