It was reported in late October that Iowa was looking to move several of its Test Iowa sites, where residents get screened for COVID-19. They noted as Winter approached, they wanted to protect staff from the elements while maintaining the safe, convenient drive-through system for test recipients. The first relocation took place recently in Des Moines, and according to the Gazette, Linn County's site will be one of the next on the move.

Currently situated on the Kirkwood Community College campus, it will stay in the Southwest quadrant of Cedar Rapids. The site will from 5455 Kirkwood Blvd. SW to 5755 Willow Creek Dr. SW, where it will open Monday, November 9 at 8 a.m. The new location is at Windstar Lines.

Black Hawk County also announced a relocation, from Crossroads Mall in Waterloo to 4121 Alexandria Dr. in Waterloo.

In addition, all Test Iowa sites will observe Veterans Day by closing at noon on Tuesday, November 10, and all day Wednesday, November 11.

Hy-Vee, meanwhile, announced some additional COVID-19 testing sites in area stores including First Avenue and Wilson Avenue, as well as at the Crosspark Road location in Coralville and both the NW Arterial and Dodge Street locations in Dubuque.
