We love a local collaboration! A recent article from the Des Moines Register reports that Hy-Vee has teamed up with Lola's Fine Hot Sauce for a new flavor of kettle-cooked potato chips!

If you're a fan of spicy potato chips, then there's a good chance you're going to enjoy these! The Register says that the chips are "seasoned with a dry blend of Lola's signature hot sauce, featuring red jalapeno, lime juice, vinegar and garlic," and taste like salt and vinegar chips with some extra heat.

Lola's and Hy-Vee have had a partnership for years now, as Hy-Vee was the first retailer to offer Lola’s Fine Hot Sauce in their stores. The hot sauce brand first launched in 2015 and is headed up by Taufeek Shah and his mother “Lola.” The official website says that Lola grew up in the Philippines, where she made all sorts of fresh sauces and salsas. After she moved to Iowa, she continued to perfect her recipes. The site writes that, "today, Lola is still in charge of recipes and continues to experiment with exotic peppers and flavors to create a truly fine hot sauce for everyone." The brand is based out of West Des Moines and offers various flavors of hot sauce, seasoning, bloody Mary mix, salsa, hot honey, spicy ketchup, and more. Check out all the different products available HERE.

Lola's Fine Hot Sauce Flavored Potato Chips will be available is all Hy-Vee stores beginning on January 27th and will cost around $2.99 a bag. We can't wait to try them!
