Let’s Start A Petition To Bring Back Bruce Aune’s Mustache

He's our very own "Anchorman," and he's the biggest local celebrity we have here in Cedar Rapids. Not to mention, he's also one hell of a guy! I'm talking about Bruce Aune, the longtime KCRG anchor that announced he's retiring on March 6, 2020. This will wrap up 33 years behind the desk at channel 9.

But before you go, Bruce, we ask one last favor: BRING BACK THE MUSTACHE!

It was back in 2003 that Mr. Aune made the change and shaved off his famous facial hair. It was big news back then, he even had to ask the station for permission to shave it off!

The news went viral on that fateful day, and it was the talk of the town. Cedar Rapids television was never the same, it was a sad day for folks here in Eastern Iowa.

So now that Bruce is retiring, I think it would be cool if he brought the mustache back one more time. We have until March....there's plenty of time!

We have a dream, now let's make it a reality.
