KHAK’s Teacher of the Week Winner Comes From Marion

Every week we team up with Menard's to honor another awesome teacher in the local area with our ‘Teacher of the Week’ award!

Congratulations to Eric Hauschildt a teacher at Longfellow Elementary School in Marion! He is this week’s ‘Teacher of the Week!’ Eric was nominated by Evan Davis and this is their entry:

"We were extremely worried about our son starting Kindergarten this year, but felt a huge relief after meeting with his teacher, Mr. H. Mr. H., as he is known since he has a last name no child or even sometimes adult can pronounce, gave my wife and I a wonderful pep talk. He said, "remember, you're not on this journey alone, and if we partner together, we can get him through and where he should be." He has learning techniques like playing guitar while having the kids make the sounds of letters and relating writing techniques to driving skills. He has been the only teacher that has made us mothers/fathers join in on letter games, sing-a-longs, and most importantly, our children's daily lessons."
