Iowa senior Jarrod Uthoff was named 3rd team All-American by USA Today. The Hawkeye forward joins Iowa State senior Georges Niang as a 3rd team selection. Uthoff averaged nearly 19 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks per game for Iowa this season. He is among the favorites for Big Ten Player of the Year honors as well.

Other Big Ten players honored included first team selection Denzel Valentine of Michigan State and second team selection from Indiana Yogi Ferrell. Iowa is gearing up for the Big Ten Tournament. The Hawks have a first round bye and await the winner of Illinois vs. Minnesota.
