Iowa Ranks In The Top Five For Deer Accidents
State Farm Insurance released it's deer claims list and Iowa ranked as the 4th most likely state for a motorist to hit a deer. The good news is Iowa slipped a spot from last year when it was 3rd.
West Virginia is the top state in which motorists are likely to hit a deer with odds of 1 in 41. Montana was 2nd with a one in 58 chance. Pennsylvania was 3rd with a one in 67 chance. In Iowa, your chance of hitting a deer is one in 68.
The most popular months of car versus deer is October, November, and December. Those 3 months are prime deer mating season. Especially be on the lookout at dawn and dusk in the fall.
