Iowa Ranks High On List Of Best States To Raise Kids

Iowa is a great place to raise kids. Just ask parents...they'll tell you! I love the fact that my kids are growing up in Iowa. A new study confirms what many of us already knew. This state is great for kids!

Each year the Annie E. Casey Foundation releases its Kids Count Data Book. It is a huge gathering of data that looks at the well-being of children in all 50 states. Before we reveal some of the rankings, what does the survey look at? It figures in factors like economic well-being, education, health, and family and community strength. So what states are the best places for kids?

1. New Hampshire
2. Massachusetts
3. Vermont
4. Minnesota
5. Iowa

Way to go Iowa! The Hawkeye state comes in number five overall and ranked third in economic well-being, sixth in education, and eighth in health. More proof that Iowa is still a great place to raise a family!
