A bowl game is a chance for seniors to go out with a bang. Iowa senior running back Akrum Wadley did just that Wednesday as his 283 total yards in the Pinstripe Bowl helped lead Iowa over Boston College 27-20.

Wadley did it all for Iowa. He had 172 return yards including a 72 yarder. Wadley had 88 yards rushing and a touchdown on the ground. He even added 2 catches for 24 yards through the air. The senior who grew up just 20 minutes away from Yankee Stadium gave friends and family quite a show. He also gave NFL scouts something to look at too. Wadley is expected to be a mid-round selection in the spring draft.

Iowa finishes the year at 8-5 and snaps their five-game bowl losing streak, the longest in the nation. The win also gives head coach Kirk Ferentz his 143rd win at Iowa, tying Hayden Fry for the most wins in school history.

As Iowa prepares to say goodbye to a great senior class, at least two juniors are also mulling a jump to the NFL. Corner Josh Jackson who got his nation-best 8th interception in the bowl win is almost certainly going pro. Jackson is 22 years old and is a fourth-year junior. Offensive lineman James Daniels is also looking into his pro prospects as well.
