Iowa Signs 22 Players on National Signing Day

The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that the Hawkeyes signed 22 players on Wednesday on National Signing Day. 18 are scholarship athletes, and 4 will be preferred walk-ons. Along with the signees, Iowa is also preparing for the transfer portal window, which opens in January.

Hawkeyes Have a Talented QB Room

The Gazette reports that one of Iowa's signings is four-star quarterback Tradon Bessinger. Iowa got the freshman from Utah to flip his commitment from Boise State to Iowa. According to the Gazette, Bessinger plans on joining the Hawkeyes in June and will join quarterbacks Jeremy Hecklinski and Hank Brown in the Iowa QB room.

Ferentz Comments on His Coaching Future

The big question many Iowa fans have is just how long Kirk Ferentz will roam the sidelines at Iowa. The Gazette reports that after 27 seasons, Ferentz isn't going anywhere. He has confirmed that he'll be back in 2026 and says he doesn't see himself leaving anytime soon. Ferentz said, "I feel good physically. I've got permission from my wife to keep doing this, and it's what I like doing. I really like it and enjoy doing it."

The Hawkeyes finished the regular season at 8-4 and await their bowl game destination.
