Iowa Men’s Basketball Starts 2017 With A Win
The Iowa Men's Basketball team kicked off 2017 with an overtime win over Michigan 86-83. The win was Iowa's fifth straight over Michigan, and fourth in a row against the Wolverines at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Peter Jok led Iowa with 25 points and hit a huge 3-pointer with 1:15 remaining in overtime that gave the Hawkeyes an 84-81 lead.
Iowa Freshman and former Linn Mar High School Alum Jordan Bohannon had 17 points, 6 assist, and no turnovers.
Iowa improves to 9-6 for the season and hits the road for a Thursday night match-up at Nebraska. Nebraska has been on a roll as they defeated #16 Indiana earlier in the week at Bloomington and today knocked off 13-2 Maryland in Lincoln.
Iowa's next home game is next Sunday, Jan 8th against Rutgers.
