Iowa City is Home to Our Latest KHAK ‘Teacher of the Week’
Coronavirus is preventing us from doing a lot of things, but it won't stop us from honoring another amazing teacher with our KHAK 'Teacher of the Week' award!
This week's winner is Megan Chapman, a teacher at Shimek Elementary in Iowa City! Megan was nominated by Carissa Marple. The entry says:
"My son has been through a lot, behaviorally and emotionally. He's been at Shimek since preschool. His 3rd and 4th-grade teacher Ms. Chapman has been a blessing for my son. Going above and beyond. When my son needs extra help, she gives it, she has offered to come to the house and take time out of her day to help him. When she promises something she does it. My son would flounder if it weren't for this amazing woman. She cares so much not only for my son but for all of her students. She has inspired my son to want to be the best he can be. We need more teachers like her. We love her."
For being such a wonderful teacher, Megan will be receiving gift cards to Wild Hogs Saloon & Eatery and Half Price Books.
