Get a Peek Inside the New Big Grove Brewery in Cedar Rapids [WATCH]

Progress is being made on Cedar Rapids' newest restaurant and brewery!

For the past several months, construction crews have been hard at work building a brand new Big Grove Brewery here in Cedar Rapids. The new location is at 170 1st Street SW and is just one part of the $100 million 1st and 1st West Project that will also feature a hotel, apartments, and the Pickle Palace.

Just last week (August 15th), Big Grove Brewery posted a video allowing us to get a sneak peek look inside their new Cedar Rapids facility. The caption reads:

"Grab your hardhat and join us for a quick peek inside the walls of our new Cedar Rapids brewery & taproom opening later this year. Thanks for your support over these past 10 years and we can't wait to raise a glass with you."

According to the video, Big Grove Cedar Rapids will have lots of tables and booths, plenty of natural lighting, 40 tap lines, and a huge outdoor patio. It will open up to a space called the Kingston Yard, which will host all sorts of different events. And speaking of events, Big Grove is planning to host brunches, trivia, speakers, movies, and more in a special private dining area. The new brewery will also have, well... a brewery! They are going to make various lagers and "some really funky stuff" on-site in their new state-of-the-art facility.

As far as food goes, the Cedar Rapids Big Grove will have snacks and quick-bites, as well as a full menu of entrees. It will feature some favorites that are served at other Big Groves, but also new items that are unique to the Cedar Rapids location. It's too soon to see an official menu yet, but I'm hoping that they will be serving their mac & cheese, giant pretzels, and cauliflower wings!
