98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Nick Smith

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Nick Smith, who was nominated by Keegan Meyer! The entry reads:

"Nicks acts of service to both the Hills and Washington communities does not go unnoticed. Nick is not only a firefighter, but also an EMT. His dedication to being Captain, Training Officer, and an EMT is a true testament to his care for the Washington and Hills area. Nick is never afraid to lend a helping hand, and is always willing to educate others when called upon!"
