98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Alex Vorwald

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Alex Vorwald, who was nominated by Lyndsey Vorwald! The entry reads:

"Alex is a volunteer firefighter on the Delhi Fire Department, and is also a member of the Delhi Fire Dive Rescue Team. He dedicates a lot of time to the fire department, whether it’s going to a fire call or an accident, or cleaning up and fixing odds and ends around the station. He always makes himself available for whatever needs to be done, and he does it with a smile on his face! He’s always putting everyone else’s needs before his own and is the most deserving first responder I know."

Congratulations to Alex! We thank him for his service and dedication to our community!
