98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Marilyn Dellamuth

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Marilyn Dellamuth, who was nominated by Jane Ficken! The entry reads:

"When Marilyn retired from working, she wanted to continue being active and also help out her community, so she took the EMT course. For the past 12 years, she has been a very active member of Blairstown Ambulance. Marilyn fills the critical daytime shift of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. not just once a week, but multiple days every week. She also willingly fills in to help out if someone is unable to cover their scheduled shift. Whether it’s someone’s first, worst, or last day, Marilyn always treats patients with tremendous compassion and empathy, providing care from her heart. We are blessed to have Marilyn on our team!
