Amazingly, it was in March of 2019 that we first told you the sports bar/restaurant and arcade chain was on its way to the Hawkeye State.

Several months later, the news was confirmed with plans to open in 2020. As you know, there were an awful lot of things in 2020 that were supposed to happen that didn't.

Once the pandemic was in the rearview mirror last July, the West Des Moines City Council approved plans for a new building to house Dave & Buster's. Fast forward ten months and Dave & Buster's new location is almost ready to open.

The new Dave & Buster's being built at 170 S. Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines, just south of Jordan Creek Town Center is a big one. The 21,000-square-foot building will feature over 100 arcade games in what's called Dave & Buster's Million Dollar Midway. The Des Moines Register says there will also be a 40-foot "WOW" Wall, with dozens of HDTVs to watch all of your favorite sports.
