When I was a kid, I wanted a train set and the bigger the better. Then I got a small one, and quickly realized they required more work & expertise than I'd ever have or hope to. Still, my fascination with them has never wavered and here's two that will amaze you.

A video of the world's largest model railroad is at bottom, but there's a pretty cool one just outside my southeast Iowa hometown of Sigourney. The Dumont Museum features an incredible train display, among its many draws. I haven't been there for awhile and in looking at these videos, it's clearly time I went back.

If you've got time, here's a lengthy one. Then again, maybe just make the trip and see it for yourself.

The Miniatur Wunderland is in Hamburg, Germany and you honestly won't believe it. The airport alone cost nearly $4 million U.S. dollars to make. Wow! Maybe someday I can see it in person. Maybe...
