New College Football Video Game Features the Iowa Wave [WATCH]
If you're anything like me and loved playing sports games on your video game system growing up, there was one game above all you waited for each summer. The new college football game from EA Sports. Sure, the players didn't have real names, but all the teams were there. So were all the bowl games. You could even start a dynasty and see if you recruit some of the top players in the nation to come to your school. But then, the series was put on hold for over a decade.
The wait is nearly over football fans! EA Sports released the trailer for College Football 25 and it looks like everything we've been waiting for! Gone are the days of entering names in yourself, or downloading them from a sketchy third-party website. Thanks to NIL in college sports, players were paid to have their names used in this year's game!
Yes, the players are here, even on this year's cover! EA Sports revealed earlier this month that College Football 25 will be released on July 19th and will be available to play on PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. If you purchase the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle you'll have access to the game three days early, according to IGN. EA Sports released the first trailer for the game on Friday, and needless to say...I CAN'T WAIT!
It's all there. Everything that makes college football great. All the stadiums. All the mascots. Every sideline tradition including one made famous at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City! Yes, the Iowa Wave has made it into College Football 25! Check out the trailer and at the 1:09 mark, you get a clear view of the wave which happens at the end of the first quarter at Hawkeye home games. Attention to detail is what made the college football games so much fun, and it looks like EA Sports has left nothing uncovered!
