CMN Radiothon Participant Leila Sings Again [VIDEO]

Leilani has encountered more health problems in her 10 years than most people will experience in their lifetime, but that doesn't stop this spirited kid from singing!

At last year's Children's Miracle Network Radiothon, Brain and I were super lucky to talk to an incredible young lady named Leila. You may remember our interview with Leila, because she had to cut it short so she could go back to her room and plug in the machine that was pumping her heart for her. Since then, Leila has received a heart transplant, but she's also had some unexpected new problems. She's been in the University of Iowa Children's Hospital over 500 days now, but she's never stopped fighting. Leila, like a lot of us, gets inspired by music, although she hasn't been able to use her voice recently. This video was put together by one of Leila's Music Therapist's interns, and it shows Leila singing one of her favorite songs:

The power of music is just amazing. Leila is such an inspiration to us, and we hope she's an inspiration to you, as well. Keep pushing through, Leila! You're the toughest kid we know!
