The little 1/4 mile speedway in Tipton will roar back to life tonight. The Cedar County Speedway is hosting the IMCA Deery Brothers Late Model Summer Series and the IMCA Modified Hawkeye Dirt Tour. Both divisions bring the great drivers from all across the State and Midwest to compete.

The feature winner in the Late Models takes home $2,000 to win and $300 to start the feature. The Modified feature winner will take home $1,000 and $150 to start the feature.

Jeff Aikey is your points leader in the IMCA Deery Brothers Late Model Division. Aikey leads Tyler Bruening by just 6 points heading into tonight's race.

Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 5 p.m. Hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. with racing to follow. Admission is $17 for adults, $15 for seniors, $10 for students and kids six and under free. Pit passes are $30.
