To any casual observer, Caitlin Clark's rebound during Saturday's game against the New York Liberty sure did get a huge level of applause, even for a Fever home game. But that is because Fever fans knew that uncontested rebound was another milestone in Caitlin Clark's record-breaking rookie season.

Clark became the first WNBA rookie in history to secure a triple-double. ESPN reports that Clark pulled down the historic rebound with 7:07 left in the 4th quarter. Clark would finish the game with 19 points, a season-high tying 13 assists, and 12 rebounds.

It also was the first triple-double in the history of the Indiana Fever franchise. ESPN points out that Clark had 17 triple-doubles during her time at the University of Iowa with the Hawkeyes winning each of those games. Clark had come close to the historic mark once before this season, coming up one rebound shy in a game against Phoenix on June 30th.

But bigger than a historic personal achievement was the Fever beating the WNBA's best team, the New York Liberty. ESPN reports that Indiana rallied from 11 points down in the fourth quarter to pull off the stunning 83-78 win. It was the second-largest 4th quarter comeback against the league's best team in WNBA history. Aliyah Boston scored 18 points for the Fever and chipped in with 8 rebounds.

Caitlin also reached the 350-point, 150-assist plateau on Saturday in her 22nd career WNBA game. She is the fastest WNBA player ever to reach those numbers.
