The great thing about a Christmas tree is that it can be something different for everyone. We all have different life stories and experiences. We have different tastes and styles. Our Christmas trees represent all of that and more this time of year. I love watching Holly and the kids choose which ornaments to put on the tree each year. We have so many that not all of them make it on each year. The kids help pick and of course, there are some that we just have to put on each year. Here are a few of our favorites and why they mean so much to us.

This was one of the first ornaments Holly and I bought after we got married back in 1999. It marks our first Christmas as a married couple. It's where everything started. This one gets hung every year.

This ornament means a lot to Holly. Its 'Holly Hobby'. She collected the dolls as a child, plus, it's her name!

One of the best parts about decorating our tree is looking back at all the ornaments the kids have made in school. Each year, one of their past ornaments makes it on the tree. Here is one from Carly back in 2015! We save all of these. They are priceless!

Another category of ornaments are ones that represent our favorite things. Movies, games, you name it. This one is from one of the kids' favorite Christmas movies 'The Polar Express'.

This is from another holiday favorite movie. It's the leg lamp from 'A Christmas Story'. What holiday display would be complete without a major award! Yes, it lights up when you push a button.

One of Chase's favorite ornaments. Gaming is his life, so here it is. A controller ornament. Next year I'm sure I'll have some type of Fortnite character hanging from my tree.

This one sums up our tree. It's all about family. I look at these happy snowmen and I can't help but smile myself. That's the feeling I get when I look at our Christmas tree. It makes me smile. There are tons of memories hanging from the branches and I know many more will be made in the coming weeks. Merry Christmas!
