Brain & Courtlin Love McDonald’s New Chicken Sandwiches

McDonald's has joined the "Chicken Sandwich Wars" with not one, but three new crispy chicken sandwiches!

“Take a bite and you’ll find out what CrispyJuicyTender means. Whether it’s Crispy, Spicy or Deluxe, there’s a new sandwich for everyone.”

The Crispy Chicken Sandwich, the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich, and the Deluxe Crispy Chicken Sandwich are officially on the menu at McDonald's, and we were lucky enough to give all three varieties a try last week! Here are our thoughts:

Courtlin:

As soon as I smelled the chicken sandwiches, I knew they were going to be good. I'm typically more of a burger gal, but I was more than happy to try all three of the new sandwiches. My personal favorite was the very first one I tasted: the Deluxe Crispy Chicken Sandwich. The chicken plus the shredded lettuce, Roma tomatoes and mayo was absolutely perfect. I also really enjoyed the Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich, too! It came topped with spicy pepper sauce, which had a real kick to it, but it wasn't TOO spicy, you know what I mean? The more I ate it, the more I liked it. I might have to trade my usual Big Mac for one of these the next time I hit the drive-thru...

You know who wins in a 'Chicken Sandwich War?' We do! It seems like everyone is coming out with their own version of a premium chicken sandwich. I had seen pictures of the new Premium Chicken Sandwiches from McDonald's but had never tried one until they dropped off all three new sandwiches for us to try! I've got to tell you, McDonald's...you've done right by the chicken sandwich! The seasoning on the original was great, the Spicy had just the right amount of heat, and the Deluxe with the lettuce and tomatoes? Top notch. I usually hit McDonald's once a week because, well, I have three kids. But thanks to the golden arches for making a chicken sandwich that us adults can love too. Well done!
