National Donut Day is always celebrated the first Friday in June, and in honor of the holiday, Yelp has released a list of the top donut shop in all 50 states. Here in Iowa, the highest-reviewed donut bakery is a place called Ambrosia Donuts in Ankeny!

Located at 106 SW State Street in Ankeny, Ambrosia Donuts is a locally-owned bakery that makes their donuts fresh daily. Some of the most popular items mentioned in online reviews include the apple fritters, the cronuts, and the maple bacon long johns.
