It's always a good day for ice cream, especially at the best ice cream shop in Iowa! According to a new list from Love Food, that shop is a place called The Outside Scoop!

According to the official website, the Outside Scoop first got its start back in 2010. The shop is known for its delicious homemade ice cream that's made with local ingredients. The site reads:

"We purchase many of our ingredients from local growers and businesses to ensure only the best for our customers.  Nearly all of the ingredients in our ice cream is made from scratch just like it would be from grandma’s kitchen.  If this hasn’t gotten your taste buds tingling we also serve ice cream in homemade waffle cones, specialty sundaes, root beer floats, shakes, and storms."

The Outside Scoop is constantly rotating the flavors they have available. They have classics, like vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies & cream, and cake batter, but they also have some more unusual flavors. There's Banana Bread, Goat Cheese with Roasted Cherries, Sweet Corn, Maple Bacon, White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake, and Peanut Butter & Jelly! The shop even has gluten-free and vegan options.

The Outside Scoop currently has two locations: one at 602 North Jefferson Way in
Indianola and another at 2410 SW White Birch Drive in Ankeny. But, they also have ice cream trucks that can be booked for events!
