June looks like the earliest we will see any baseball.

This was a move that everybody saw coming, we were just waiting for it to be official.

Following last night's newly updated recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention restricting events of more than 50 people for the next eight weeks, the opening of the 2020 regular season will be pushed back in accordance with that guidance.

The eight weeks would put us in the middle of May and one would assume that MLB would have another shortened spring training for at least a week and a half.

It is the first time since 1995 that a baseball season would be shortened, this time the situation is a little more serious than a labor dispute.

So how many games will teams actually play this year? We'll have to wait and see. Good thing we're all getting good at waiting.
