A Midwest Business is Selling Brats Stuffed with Candy Corn
I'm gonna pass on this one.
I don't know about you, but I don't think I've ever met anyone who enjoys candy corn. There are obviously people out there buying it, because we're still seeing it on store shelves year after year, but I'm not sure who those people are. Maybe everybody is just keeping their love of candy corn a secret....
A meat market over in Wisconsin is making national headlines this week over a special Halloween bratwurst that they sell. I was horrified when I found out that it's stuffed with, you guessed it, CANDY CORN.
According to a new article from ABC, a Madison, Wisconsin business called the Jenifer Street Market is currently offering their "Spook-toberfest Brats," which consist of pork, Oktoberfest beer, and candy corn. The article quotes a reporter with WMTV as saying, "I mean, it was good. It was salty and sweet. The candy corn actually melt when they heat it up, so it kind of disperses the sweetness throughout." And he's not the only person enjoying them! Another article from TODAY says that the unusual new brats are selling twice as fast as the normal ones.
I don't think I'll be driving up to Wisconsin to try one of these anytime soon, but I guess I can't judge folks in Wisconsin for coming up with such a strange food combination. We have PLENTY of those here in Iowa. Remember when the Froot Loops Pizza from Fong's was getting a bunch of attention?
Would you try a candy corn brat? Let us know in the comments!
