98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Salutes Tylor Fairbanks

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an eastern Iowa First Responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Tylor Fairbanks, who was nominated by Brandon Fairbanks! The entry reads:

"Tylor was always a 'quiet leader' and played games by the rules growing up. He enjoyed Boy Scouts and developed a deep honor for his country and his flag. When he graduated high school, we were surprised that he didn't choose a military career, but weren't shocked when he called during his junior year at Cornell and said he would be applying to the Iowa State Patrol. He always puts others before himself and makes us proud every day he puts on his uniform. He just entered year two of patrolling Iowa's interstates."
