98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Wes Wery

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Wes Wery, who was nominated by his wife Alyssa! The entry reads:

"I’m nominating my husband, who is the hardest working person I know. After a long day as a police officer, he comes home and immediately goes upstairs to lay with the kids at bedtime. He may be tired after his work hours are done for the week, but he puts his family first and is always ready to go on the next family adventure. I cannot imagine doing the job he does and still being so positive and happy. There is not enough room to write how deserving he is to be honored."
