98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Dan Paidar

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Dan Paidar, who was nominated by his daughter Allison! The entry reads:

"My dad has been on the Mechanicsville Fire and Ambulance for 28 years. He has also been a plumber for 28 years, all while raising 3 kids and some bonus kids along the way. My dad is a very hard worker, even on his very rare days off. My brothers Adam and Alex are also on the department alongside my dad, so shout out to them, too!! I couldn’t be more proud of them and the countless volunteer hours they put in. I have grown up around first responders my entire life and I'm so grateful to have such an amazing fire and ambulance crew in my community. My dad is always the first to lend a hand to some who needs it. He is my hero and I hope I make him as proud as he makes me."

When including your photo, please keep in mind that any kids in the picture need to be your own. Please let us know if we have parental permission to post the children, otherwise their faces will be covered when the photo is published to our sites.
