98.1 KHAK First Responder Friday Honors Brian Rowe

Each Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., 98.1 KHAK's Brain & Courtlin pay tribute to an Eastern Iowa first responder. The weekly honoree receives a $25 gift card to Wild Hogs Saloon and Eatery in Walford and a $25 gift card to Honor and Respect.

Today we honor Brian Rowe, who was nominated by Matt Tison! The entry reads:

"Brian has dedicated his life to his community as a sheriff's deputy, firefighter, and paramedic. He has been responsible for the growth and development of literally hundreds of first responders that he has helped mold and influence who are in the field helping their communities to this day. Brian is always willing to talk to and console his peers when they are dealing with emotional trauma they encounter in this job. He is a compassionate leader, and has played a significant part in helping the Coggon Fire Department become the area's leading volunteer fire department through his leadership as Chief. He is well respected by many physicians in the Eastern Iowa area. I am a better person today because of Brian's influence in my life. If there's anyone that is deserving of this recognition, it's Brian Rowe."
