New Cedar Rapids Restaurant is Ready to Welcome Customers

It took a little longer than expected, but a Cedar Rapids restaurant is ready to welcome guests.

Boulder Tap House, which had a location at Lindale Mall in Cedar Rapids that closed this spring, is opening a restaurant in an all-new building on the city's west side.

The northeast Boulder Tap House closed in June, after three-and-a-half years in business. Four months prior to that closing, Boulder Tap House owners started construction on the new building at Westdale. They had initially hoped to open the restaurant this summer.

While the new Boulder Tap House building was going up, owners Mike and Tom were hard at work opening a new restaurant in the former Boulder Tap House location at Lindale Mall.

For those not familiar with Boulder Tap House, they promise "Craft Burgers. Craft Beer. And an atmosphere the whole family will love." The restaurant also offers wings, taco platters, soups and salads, sandwiches, and appetizers, including House Made Boulder Cheese Curds. Boulder Tap House is also known for its selection of craft and domestic beers, ciders, fruits, and sours. They typically have around 40 on tap.

Each quarter, the Cedar Rapids Boulder Tap House will donate money to a charity or non-profit. For the 4th quarter of 2023, Dogs Forever was selected. Every time a purchase is made from their select menu (on page one of drink menu), Boulder Tap House will donate one dollar to Dogs Forever, an all-volunteer-run animal shelter located in Cedar Rapids.

Boulder Tap House is located at 4515 Westdale Parkway SW in Cedar Rapids. They started doing invitation-only training parties at the restaurant today (Thursday), and plan to open to the public on Monday, October 16.
