Yes, we've made the change to spring, but that doesn't mean winter is done with us yet. A storm system moving towards us for the weekend could bring snow and a lot of it for some in the KHAK listening area.

Initially, the precipitation starts off as rain on Friday. That will continue for much of Friday night into early Saturday before switching over to all snow. Most precipitation will end by Saturday evening. So how much of the white stuff can we expect? As you may have guessed, the exact numbers are still up in the air.

As of right now, the highest snowfall totals are expected north of highway 30 and to the northeast. Most everyone north of I-80 can expect some accumulating snow. As we get closer to Friday, we'll know more about the storm's path and where the heaviest snow will fall. Heavy winds will also be a factor Saturday too.
