William Shatner Cancels Cedar Rapids Show
I was excited and surprised when I heard that William Shatner was going to making a Cedar Rapids stop this fall. This was Captian Kirk for crying out loud! Courtlin and I even had the chance to interview the Hollywood legend, and he was warm, welcoming and very funny. Sadly, Shatner's 'Live On Stage' show scheduled for next Friday at the Paramount Theater has been canceled.
Shatner's appearance was to include a showing of the movie 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan' and then a question and answer session following the film. The films star's Cedar Rapids appearance was called off for what are being described as scheduling issues. The show is scheduled to go on this week in Madison, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, and Akron Ohio, and then pick up with more shows in January. Shatner is headed to Australia and New Zealand in October to perform his one-man show 'Shatner's World'.
Ticket holders are being notified of the cancelation and can get a refund where they purchased their tickets. Automatic refunds will be given to all online ticket orders. For cash or check refunds you can go to the Paramount Theater box office in Cedar Rapids.
