A new installation of the 80's sitcom Who's The Boss is being developed by Sony, even with Alyssa Milano and Tony Danza set to star and produce the product.

The studio is planning a sequel to the original show, which aired from 1984-1992. The new show will follow Samantha Micelli, now that she's a single mother living in the same house where the original series was set. The show will also follow the relationship between her and her dad, Tony, who is now retired.

There's no word on involvement from Judith Light or Danny Pintauro, but hopefully they will be on board by the time shooting starts. Katherine Helmond died in 2019, so no appearance happening there.

Who's The Boss is the third Reagan-era ABC comedy to have an update go into development recently. The Wonder Years is rebooted with a Black family, and Head of the Class is coming up on HBO Max.
