It seems like just yesterday I was announcing that I was having a baby, revealing that he was a boy, and welcoming him into the world.

Fast forward to now, and he's already ONE YEAR OLD. How did this happen? I always heard parents say "they grow fast," but you don't realize just how true that is until you're a parent yourself. Or, at least, I didn't.

This past year was definitely an interesting one. Having a baby during a pandemic wasn't ideal, but it's been amazing. Watching him reach different milestones, and grow into the little person he is today is the best thing ever. He's a sweet, talkative, tough, curious, intelligent little guy. He is so strong and moves around like crazy. He's even attempting walking.

Since his birthday fell on a Tuesday, we celebrated early over the weekend. We celebrated our "wild one's" birthday with a trip to the zoo to see all of the wild animals. Wes liked seeing the animals, but he seemed to enjoy looking at all of the wild children more. After a day at the zoo, we celebrated with some yummy cake. His first experience with cake was adorable. He liked the cake, but he definitely thought playing with it was more fun (I'm glad we covered the floor with plastic). Here are some photos from the day, and of how much he's grown this past year. I can't wait to celebrate many more birthdays with my little man. Happy Birthday, Weston! We love you!
