We Have a Mount Vernon ‘Teacher of the Week’ Winner!

We have so many amazing teachers here in Eastern Iowa, but we're honoring just one this week with our KHAK 'Teacher of the Week' Award!

Congratulations to Kim Steele, a 6th-grade reading teacher at Mount Vernon Middle School in Mount Vernon! She is our latest honoree, and she was nominated by Izzy Steele. She wrote:

"Kim Steele goes above and beyond to keep her students motivated to learn and excited to wake up every day. She is a truly inspiring woman inside and outside of the classroom, as she continues to bring light to her students and the teachers and community around her."

For doing such a great job, Kim will be receiving a free massage or facial from Massage Heights, plus $25 gift cards to Half Price Books and Wild Hogs.
